
An opening ceremony of Hokkaido University’s new office in Helsinki was held on June 1. The new office, already opening in April in the premises of Helsinki University, is the first European branch of Hokkaido University that would strengthen the academic co-operation between Finland and Japan.
The Helsinki office is Hokkaido University’s third overseas and first one outside Asia. The office aims to promote co-operation between Hokkaido University and European institutions in research as well as student exchange.
