Finland's 100th anniversary celebrations in Tokyo

Finland's 100th anniversary year culminated with Independence Day celebrations across the globe on the 6th of December. The Embassy of Finland in Tokyo organized a reception in the beautiful Meiji Memorial Hall (Meiji Kinenkan), in the heart of Japan's bustling capital city, Tokyo.

Jukka's speech
The Ambassador, HE Jukka Siukosaari, speaks about Finland's journey and its success as an independent country.

The reception, hosted by Ambassador Jukka Siukosaari, welcomed over 300 distinguished guests, representing the embassy's extensive network of local partners and contacts. The guests included members of parliament and government officials, along with members of the diplomatic corps and representatives from Finland-Japan friendship associations.

The embassy congratulates Finland once again on its 100 years of independence!
