Finland’s Honorary Consulate in Osaka opens on December 10, 2018. The new Honorary Consul is Mr Kazuo Sumi, Chairman, Group CEO of Hankyu Hanshin Holdings Inc. and Chairman of Hankyu Corporation. The Honorary Consulate serves Finnish Citizens on Tuesdays from 1pm until 4pm (for visits advance appointment required).
Honorary consuls are authorized to the following notarial acts: verification of signatures of private individuals, certification of copies and provision of certificate of life. Honorary Consulate does not issue Finnish passports or receive applications for visas or residence permits. These services are only available at the Embassy of Finland in Tokyo.
