Pekka Laitinen 1 Pekkka Laitinen assumed the post of Commercial Counsellor on July 1, 2017 as the new head of Finpro. With the whole Finpro team moving into the Embassy's premises at the middle of July, the Team Finland structure is now stronger than ever to together promote Finnish businesses and investments in Japan. Japanese anime movie ”Girls und Panzer” creates new fans for Finland-interview with the movie director Tsutomu Mizushima

Markus and Director MizushimaRecently we heard from our SNS followers saying "Garupan" triggered their interests toward Finland and Kantele. Garupan is an abbreviation for "Girls und Panzer", Japanese animation depicting a competition between girls' high schools practicing tank warfare as a sport. The movie was released in 2015 in which the high school in the motif of Finland left a strong impression.
